The Software Defined Networking Carrier Grade v1.1 course provides service provider and data center engineers with the knowledge and skills needed to install, operate and troubleshoot an enterprise CPE-facing, SDN-controlled device focusing on a vendor-neutral OpenDaylight solution.
The Software Defined Networking Carrier Grade (SDNCG) validates the ability to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise or customer edge-based software defined network using a controller running OpenFlow. In addition, students will be able to compare existing SDN technologies from a vendor-neutral perspective to prepare them for an industry shift towards NFV driven technologies. With SDNCG, a network professional demonstrates the skills required for entry-level SDN support and integration using open-standards. The curriculum covers OpenFlow fundamentals, virtual switching technologies, basic security, clustering and SDN concepts.
