Course Overview

The Cisco Elastic Services Controller (ESC300) course is a virtual instructor-led, lab- based, hands-on course offered by Learning@Cisco. The course introduces the use of Cisco® Elastic Services Controller (ESC) in an OpenStack or VMware environment. The Cisco Enterprise Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) framework is a network architecture concept that uses existing virtualization technologies to virtualize network functions for providing services.

  • Cisco recommends that you have the following prerequisite knowledge and skills:

    • Basic knowledge of the command line of UNIX-like operating systems
    • Basic knowledge of NETCONF
    • Basic knowledge of OpenStackFor completion of Cisco NSO integration, the following additional knowledge is required:
    • Knowledge and skills that can be obtained by attending the Cisco Network Services Orchestrator Foundation (NSO100) class or equivalent
    • Basic knowledge of YANG data modelling
    • Basic knowledge of Java software development
